We already knew of the few that have opened in Karachi, Raffles has also opened one in Lahore, and there are atleast two now in Lahore… not bad for a country that so far was dominated by the Wintel brands…
Apple here is a still a “elitist” brand, expensive and bought mostly by geeks, media professionals and CEOs. You cant beat the volumes of MAC vs PCs…but who cares about that!!! I want one!!! 
..besides… It will look nice with my iPod touch

By definition they are not Apple Stores, they are Apple Resellers or Apple Premier Resellers.

True, by definition they are, just like all of the Middle east economy, Apple has reached out to consumers through resellers. Smart move if you ask me. But once you’re inside, surrounded by the “goodies” draped in delicious lighting , you really don’t care

Dito on Irfan’s comment. Authorized Resellers are not Apple Stores, I really don’t like Apple’s vague commitment to Pakistan.

It would be upto us to convince Apple to open a “real apple store” in Pakistan, not the other way round
reseller success is usually what leads a principal to walk into the country itself, so if we keep buying apple, through the resellers, then eventually Apple itself will be compelled to walk in and pick up the profit itself too.

Yes, I met a person who is currently fixing the store and claims that it will be the real Apple store.
The Apple store is opening next month inside the brand new Midway Centrum Mall. The mall is located at the crossection of 6th Rd. and Murree Rd. Rawalpindi.

Well its a good thing. Now I shall be able to buy a mac very easily (as I have no relative outside Pakistan and don’t trust the people here).
