Getz Pharma just became the latest client to sign on for implementing SAP across the board in their
organization. Siemens will be implementing the solution. (and why Siemens as opposed to Abacus could someone tell me?) . Getz is one of a handful of very successful local Pharmas that have branched out into other countries and are growing rapidly.
Implementing multimillion dollar ERPs also indicates that there are local manufacturing concerns that despite the overall “slow” (6% ) growth of the economy are doing well.

Well SAP has certainly gained momentum over the past 7~8 years and now is a common buzzword for those who even dont know about ERPs, as opposed to being a rare commodity earlier at least in Pakistan. And contributing to its wide-spread spill is the leading giant Siemens Paksitan.
Abacus is a neonatal identity which has joined the bandwagon just 3 years ago maybe, thriving initially and to a larger extent currently on the resources trained/educated by Siemens.
That’s can be one of the reasons GETZ has chosen to stay with the leader.
If you have any other perspective why should Abacus be a solution of choice then please do share , would love to hear it.

Getz Pharma has become nation’s top Pharmaceutical company already, if I am not mistaken. Their new building, interior design and the outsourced website design to a foreign country can only speak for their need to do bigger and better things. So, it’s no surprise for me that they chose Siemens (rightly so too) over Abacus.
Looking at the awfully ugly screens/interfaces of Apps at the brightest and biggest banks and other top firms only make you think that if outsourcing our work to foreign firms may be the right choice.

sure… so that it can then be sourced right back to India
. Siemens also has a fully local force btw, no one comes from Europe or elsewhere unless there is a dire need. the Siemens team is locally homegrown and supported…
