For the geek in you : a Mac OSx Leopard VM running on my IBm T61 vista box. So, if I wanted, now I can run Leopard and Vista on an IBM T61 laptop. I call this having my cake and eating it too ;) Mac fans do not accuse me of blasphemy (yet), I am thinking of making the switch so I’m just playing with the OS to get an idea. Full post here.

The gall! Imagine running the fantastic Mac OS Leopard on a PC - an insult of the highest kind.It is not just the OS but the body of the machine - the sexiness of design, the aesthetics, the attention to detail of both the hardware and the software that makes the Mac what it is.You are only forgiven Mo’ because you are considering a switch. Beware such blashphemy in the future.

Since I haven’t been playing with IBM PCs for a while, I haven’t checked out the faux Leopard packs that swarmed out the day after the official Mac OS X Leopard came out. I haven’t been keeping up with the news on them either, so am not sure exactly what you have loaded up (Leopard VM?). Most of all, I don’t know why you (or anyone) are (or would want to be) running Leopard as a shell on a laptop Vista. No wonder you find it slow, with two mammoths piggybacking on a slug!
Anyway, since you have enjoyed the ride (or the cake), why not try out one of the bootable versions of Leopard floating around? Maybe you won’t even need to spend the extra money that will get you a finely designed box to match the innards.
And since you presumably need to do some work too from time to time, in your limited Windows environment office, you can then get yourself VMWare’s desktop, which runs Windows
inside Leopard!
Happy hunting.

heheh. But i want a super well designed box…! Jehan is right tho, the thing about the MAC isnt just the OS, its everything..its the whole platform, its the size of the screen, the mouse, the airport, the weight of the laptop or the feel of the iMac… This essentially is just me playing around….I think in the end I will make the switch..maybe I am trying to look for an excuse not to heheh but in the end, I too shall embrace change.
PS the real reason to run it on windows is because my evul boss wont let me get a macbook

Traitor!!
but the term traitor is relative.
Ive been thinking of switching over as well.
have you checked out news of the gen-2 IPhone. adding fuel to this rumor i heard today, its due in July.
obviously has 3G but also has a proper GPS receiver.
bad thing? they’ve moved away from the slick aluminum back to a shiny piano black plastic one.
probably had to do it due to the GPS receiver maybe.

Mohtashim,
Make the switch! Trust me your life will be heaven. I just completed 1 year of virus free computer usage, no blue screen and no funny MSFT errors. I keep a trail of stuff I do on my blog http://www.salmanmunir.com.
Just stop using hackintosh and VM’s, make the switch!
