It seems like all the lobbying paid off, albeit a bit late but then again who cares. The dreaded, silly, repressive, evil 15% GST levied on all computer hardware since 2006 is due to be removed this coming year, or so the government says. Expect prices to fall next year and laptops prices to get even more competitive. 

(I am sure alot of small vendors will try and misuse the news and keep some additional margins so beware.)
