The first “Startup Insiders” session has been a resounding success, and seems to be a foundation for a brimming social network, along the lines of the Silicon Valley Barcamp model (foobar? remember anyone? ) or the OpenCoffeeClub model.

The Insiders session was created to encourage entrepreneurs, developers,students and (potential) investors to attend organized, informal gatherings and to learn from those who run tech shops, to chat,to network and most of all, to grow.

What was great to see was that there was a turn out of over 80 people that came to talk about technology, starting your own show, and what it takes to run a tech shop and ‘make it’. It was great to see so many young kids there wanting to learn more about tech startups…This despite a culture (our culture) that is ready to walk all over the brilliant, creative and non conforming minds that create great companies, jobs and build the nation as a whole.
