Mobilink’s exclusive Blackberry partnership with RIM is coming to an end and the rumour is that RIM will now allow other operators to also license and give their users Blackberry service. This is good news because uptil now, you had to have a mobilink number to use a crackberry, erm, I mean Blackberry

Mobilink still owns this high end market, but with other entrants, (UFone is pitched as the next services to offer a BB) the price should come down and we should have more choice.
So what about Me? I dont use a BB (not yet anyway). I’d rather not look the crackberry nerd
and rave on about a technology and email server that is 8 years old and used by uncles. (hehehe sorry uncles
) I use a white (which is rare in PK) Sony M600 with the Gmail mobile email client which kicks ass and is faster on the go.So what if it “doesnt” push emails? Who wants spam to bug them at 2am like an sms anyway?? This BB I miiighttt use.
And I’ll probably switch to an IPhone with Gmail on later! (M600’s Symbian’s super slow tho, the Gmail client is a J2ME-Java app)

Too little, too late. With WM5 and WM6 devices taking the smartphone market by storm (majority market share in the US), why would anyone want to sign up to the revoltingly proprietary blackberry model. I have junked two blackberries till now because once I cancelled my BB email service, I couldn’t even access regular WAP based websites in the browser. That’s ridiculous! I am a 100% WM6 convert.

[...] reported earlier on Jan 1 on ITT, Mobilink is now no longer the only service offering Blackberrys for your obsessive email habits. [...]

Telenor has a limit for usage on its so-called Unlimited internet access, as confirmed by its service center in Clifton. Telenor doesn’t give anything unlimited, sorry…. I have a habit of using an Indigo with unlimited package for just 500, and man it runs on anything i plug it with, including intense downloads via my laptop!
