Telenors service is going from bad to worse. Literally. I have been
trying to call their service center to activate my GPRS connection for 3 days to no avail - I call from my Telenor sim and get disconnected each time. Instead of paying pop stars millions to feature in their TV ads, Telenor should be doing something to fix their -basic -customer experience and network problems. Ali Zafar, find another commercial contract before people hate you for making them buy lousy cell phone service…!
Apparently, I’m not alone. TechLahore has had terrible problems with his/her subscription to Telenor’s Mobile TV service. My two cents on MobileTV : Its too expensive and I havent seen it the darn thing work on -ANYONE’s- mobile yet.
To be fair, I have 3 sims : Warid, Telenor and Mobilink, and all of them have their quirks and problems, there is no single perfect phone service, but , darn it, Telenors making me jump through too many hoops for basic GPRS service ![]()

Mohtashim, check out vvcrishna.wordpress.com to see what issues exist across the border. At least we are not alone
if that is any consolation.

its not an apology just a realization that it doesnt seem like we’ll get one solid “toyota” of cellphone service anytime soon..and just like software, we seem to have become tolerant of that
here and across the border..hehe

Well, the problem isnt fixed yet. my GPRS still doesnt work and the thing is, I needed to speak to someone who could activate it but YES, you did come and help me out so thank you , its much appreciated
.
Now if only Telenor could fire its call center staff and get responsible people in their Head office (like yourself) to take care of their customers… the mobile tv problem still stands. personally i think that this feature has been more of a pain to telenor AND its customers than its worth..just take it down…

You pinned my (also lots of other’s) pain point especially those prepaid customers who migrated to Telenor (sometimes portability sucks).
Perfections is not expected, but the pain point here is to identify the performance bottleneck which in Telenor’s case (nowadays) is the quality of service not aggressive (and excessive) promotional campaigns.
