Now that Microsoft has finally realized that pushing your new OS onto people and organizations who don’t want it yet does not earn you any brownie points, they have decided to offer a downgrade (I think this is a first time btw) from Vista back to XP Pro. Read on to see how you can get a legal version of XP back onto your brand new laptops/PCs.

This has been a problem with several friends, they buy a new laptop and get stuck with Vista since its preloaded and is the only legal CD you get with your new laptop. It also hogs memory while not working properly with several common tools, most notable Microsoft’s own SQL Server 2000 and 2005 (ouch).
